Dear Jia Wen,
Today it is October 16, and my family and I are celebrating your third birthday. It is also the Chang Yeung (or double ninth) festival today. Apparently, it will be three more years until your birthday will be on the Chang Yeung festival.
We will teach, love, and care for you. You and your new sister, Maimie, are about the same age. Your birthdays are in the same week. You will have a lot of fun together, and I will too. Remember, we will always love you, and hold you dear. I hope to see you soon.

This is so cool. Last night I went to your archive posts before you went to get Maimie and read the letters the kids wrote to her. How sweet and what a heartfelt letter Joseph wrote both times! What a memory for Saidie!
