Christmas in July?

I'm starting an adoption quilt for our new little pumpkin to keep my spirits up during the overwhelming wait until we travel. {Read about Maimie's adoption quilt here.} I've sent out some letters to family and friends and posted the instructions on our bulletin board at church.

And. It. Feels. Like. Christmas. Around. Here. Seriously!

I received the first square and wish last Sunday from Larry, Ida, and Maggie:

How cute is that? But wait....there's more! This beautiful square arrived in the mail today from Uncle Bruce and Aunt Juanita...

...along with this lovely square from Jim, Teresa, and their family.

See? I told you it was like Christmas!

How wonderful folks are responding to your quilt request so quickly! Makes me feel guilty--have the fabric just haven't cut it and made our wish. Also have Grammie's and plan to purchase fabric for at least two others so your squares will multiply quickly. Only thing that could be more like Christmas in July is to get your final approval for that little China Doll who is waiting for a forever family! Blessings to all of you.

It is the responses that mean so much! A great keepsake for a special girl. I am sure the quilt will be just as beautiful as Maimie's.
