Music to our ears
The last several days have been filled with music for our oldest 3 kiddos. Friday afternoon, Joseph competed in the solo and ensemble contest and received a second place rating for his trombone solo.
Mikaela and Jacob participated Monday in an all day HOI conference choir clinic followed by an evening performance at the performing arts center.
A few weeks ago, I received a package from some of our Tennessee relatives. I finally got around to photographing the contents so that I can share them here.
Quilt square and wish #41: This lovely orange palm tree fabric and sweet wish are from Steve's cousin Diana.
Quilt square and wish #42: Diana's daughter, Jackie, sent this adorable little jungle print square and wish.
Quilt square and wish #43: Diana also contributed the beautiful fabric and touching wish from Steve's grandma that passed away before we were able to bring Saidie home.

Love the photo of the toes in the beans and rice! Congratulations Joseph on the 2nd place rating in your trombone solo! I am sure Mikaela and Jacob enjoyed the day in Bloomington and imagine the concert in the evening was tremendous!
Neat squares for Saidie's quilt. What a wonderful selection she has already! Got a lump in my throat when I read the touching message about Grandma Jessie. Sure it touched Steve that his cousin thought of this!
