Today we received our US Consulate appointment. It is scheduled for December 21 at 9:30am. What that means is:
departure for China on 12/9,
gotcha day 12/12 or 12/13
pick up passport and visa on 12/23
departure for home 12/24.
Even though this would not necessarily have been our first choice, God's timing far supasses our timing. On the positive side: Mikaela and Jacob will get to perform in the Madrigal dinner, Joseph will get to participate in the 7th grade holiday carepackages for soldiers project, we will all have Christmas break to recover from jetlag, the kids will have Christmas break to catch up on homework, we will all have an extra week of bonding with Saidie before everyone heads back to school/work, and perhaps I'll even be able to get beds for the girls before we leave.

How wonderful! God is always right on time.Blessings!
God's timing is always best! Can't wait to see the photo of you holding Saidie for the first time! Still get choked up remembering when you held Maimie for the first time! So glad the whole family gets to travel to get Saidie! God is so good!

So happy for you! We look forward to following your blogspot as you journey to bring your new little sweetie home. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers! Love, Aunt Sheila
Great news to have the plan in hand ... and it sounds like everyone can enjoy the holiday period a bit before you go. Even though I know you would prefer to go yesterday! Can't wait to meet your new daughter. Sending prayers for safe and speedy travels!
Sweet on all accounts! Can't wait to welcome you all back home. God bless you all as you prepare your hearts and home and travels.

It is God's timing and what a perfect gift for Christmas. How lucky that the whole family can go (although I don't think I could do it!) and celebrate together.
I can hardly wait to follow along!
