Dear Saidie,
When I was only a year older than you are now, I started praying for a little sister. Now I know that I've been truly blessed; not only has God granted me one sister, but He has given me two! We can't wait to know you, Saidie! From your pictures, we can see intelligence, brightness, sweetness, and thoughtfulness shining from you. Even the vast ocean between you and your home can't hide the wonderful girl that you are. Looking at your pictures has been a curious thing because we saw so much good in you right away, but we also know that the good that we have glimpsed can never compare with actually knowing your beautiful heart.
I hope that your time in China has been okay and that once you come home your life will only get happier. Just remember that you are a beautiful girl inside and out and we will always love you. Most of all, remember that God is protecting you always and blessing you in ways that you have yet to know.

Mikaela, you write beautifully just like your Mother. You will make such an awesome big sister to Saidie just as you have to Jacob, Joseph, and Maimie. You also are beautiful inside and out. What a role model for your siblings.
