The gift of gab

On Friday evening, the Middle School State Speech Contest was held at our school.  Joseph and his friend Clayton performed during the improvisational portion of the contest.  The judge gave them a single line to be used as their cue.  They were to begin with the cue line as their first line and then continue to make up a scenario.

I have to admit to being a bit nervous to see how it would go.  I personally can't imagine being able to do this in front of an audience myself.  Add to that the fact that Joseph is funny and outrageous at home as a general rule.  We never quite know what he's going to say or do.

Joseph and Clayton received not only first place ratings, but also received one of the Judges' Choice Awards.

Here are two of their performances (please excuse my poor camera work!):

Oh, my gosh!!! We laughed so much we had to watch a second time to hear what we missed! These two are really good together! Reminded us of Abbott & Costello!
Congratulations guys!
