Passports, Visas, and Amazing news

Wow, what a week it's been so far.  On Monday, Maimie's 5th birthday, we received our 3 big kids' new passports.  Mikaela was even old enough this time to legally sign hers.  By this morning, I had all 6 visa applications completed, photos attached, and passports paperclipped.  Add one hefty check to the good ol' US government, and they're off.  The courier should be able to submit our applications by Thursday morning and by the end of the following week, we should have visas in hand.  Unfortunately, we expected our Article 5 to be picked up this Thursday, but heard that it may not be ready until next Monday due to the holidays in China.  Even so, I'm sure things will fall into place in God's timing.

And now for the AMAZING news!

Drum roll please.......
Look at that jaunty little pose!

We got an update from Jia Wen's orphanage!!  She now weighs 27.6 pounds and measures 35.8 inches.  She is living at the orphanage, not in foster care.  Also, it states that when she is upset she likes to be held and will then calm down quickly.  (Awww!) Finally, they mention that she likes stacking blocks and jigsaw puzzles, and isn't a picky eater.

Puzzlin'
What's with the British flag?

But the most amazing thing is the awesome photos!  We feel like we're finally seeing some of her personality in these photos.  These photos were taken September 27, one day after Mikaela's birthday.

What a sweetheart!

And my favorite photo:

Look at them holding hands!
Are you sure we can only bring home one, Steven?

...Steven?

Amazing! You are getting so much information with her and the pictures do show a lot of personality! She is really cute.

It is hard to bring only one home isn't it?
