Spring Break and Colored Eggs

Breakfast, anyone?

Spring break was full of appointments and errands, but more relaxing than the usual routine. The weather was lousy, to say the least, but we did have one nice day on Thursday. We packed a picnic lunch and headed for the St. Louis Zoo. The day was fantastic. We walked around several hours enjoying the sunshine and animals. Afterwards, we found a Steak and Shake before heading home.

Last night we colored Easter eggs. I think it's safe to say I'm the only one who will actually eat any of our hard boiled eggs. I nearly lost three of my four egg artists when I got out the vinegar. But we moved ahead and created some pretty clever eggs. Jacob crafted one that looked like his turtle Ivan. Mikaela's contributions included a hatching chick. Joseph added some nice two-toned creations. Maimie wanted her name on all of her eggs and scribbled a bit on them, too.

Loved the photo of Maimie eating breakfast with her sunglasses on! So cute last night when she was getting Ivan's food ready with her sunglasses on! Great that you were able to enjoy the day at the zoo--looks like maybe Joseph and Maimie are contemplating the idea of getting a guinea pig? Enjoy all those colored eggs! The kids are following in their Mother's footsteps of being very creative!
Always enjoy the photos!
