Tubes

Miss Maimie saw a new doctor today who checked her hearing and evaluated her for tube placement. Unfortunately, she has quite a bit of fluid built up behind her tympanic membranes and will need the tubes to drain it from her ears. We knew that eustachian tube problems are common with cleft conditions, so we expected that this surgery might be necessary. The outpatient procedure will take place next Tuesday, April 3, and should go fairly quickly. Please keep our little sweetie in your prayers.

We pray every day for Maimie and of course all of the Monday's. We will be in special prayer for the tube procedure. Love the photos--especially the one of Maimie sleeping on the couch with her thumb and finger in her mouth. She gets cuter every day!

Little Maimie will be in my thoughts and prayers on Tuesday...since doctor and hospital stuff is a regular thing with us and Lana due to her PWS and now her apparent development of glaucoma.....I know the territory you walk into tomorrow. Do hope and pray all goes smoothly and it clears up the fluid in her ears.

I hope all went well with getting the tubes. The tubes cleared out our 7 year olds ears when she was just a baby and her hearing improved a lot! Take Care!
