Sixteen Months Old Today

The Monday kids in the hotel lobby in front of a giant pig decoration for Chinese New Year (year of the pig).

A huge ship carved from jade in the hotel lobby.

Today Maimie turned 16 months old. She had her first taste of ice cream this evening before bed and made some hilarious faces when it hit her top teeth. I think we have some video, but I don't have time to post it this evening. Tomorrow we take Maimie to the medical clinic for her medical exam. We have plans to meet with a couple we met in Nanning, Todd and Wendy and their adoptive daughter, Elizabeth in the afternoon for an outing and dinner. We shopped a lot today, but came back with very little. I felt overwhelmed with the high pressure sales that was going on in all of the shops and ended up putting off the inevitable.

This is one of our rooms at the White Swan.

Here is a view out of our hotel window.

Hello Monday Family!!! We shared all the photos with friends at church today. Peggy Wasson was especially happy and the Corders (they adopted Reuben this summer) also attend and really enjoyed the photos. It brought back some great memories for them. They also stayed at the White Swan. Did you get your Barbie doll yet? Everyone is praying for all of you and wishing you the best. Monica, get in there and bargain away!!! Our love to everyone and can't wait to see all of you on Saturday!!!

Wow, love all the pictures and comments. Been reading your blog daily. We are just back from the NCF marriage retreat......it was awesome! Wish you were there, but you have an oh so important mission you are on. One of a lifetime. Joe and Nancy leave for Russia soon, I think this Sunday. Another couple on a mission from God. Can't wait to see you all back here. Keeping you all in our prayers, Dana Stuber

The kids always look for your car when we pick up Andrea! When we don't see it Sevi says, "The Mondays are picking up Maimie!" This usually launches a discussion about how God creates families. You are our mentoring family as our kids are working through their whole adoption story!

Thoughts and prayes, Diana

I've been praying for all of you - looks like you are having a GREAT time!
Welcome to our family Maimie. We love you.
I've been praying for you long before I knew your name - but Jesus has known you forever - and loved you with an everlasting love all that time!
Looking forward to meeting you one day - and seeing all the rest of you Mondays!
Love from your Aussie Aunty,

We drove past your place . . . just in case you were home so we could picture Mamie inside her house - not yet! Get ready for showing Mamie how to make a snowman! 6" + tonight/tomorrow. We hoping school is canceled.

We are soooo delighted for you Mondays!!! Praise God from Whom all blessings (and Mondays) flow!
