Yesterday, Tuesday, we met with a Chinese official who interviewed us and then a notary public who also interviewed us. At the end we received a certificate of adoption for Maimie. She's really a Monday.
We met with her nannies and the director of the orphanage again, and they attended the first interview. Before we left, they gave us a gift for Maimie. Some photographs of her we hadn't seen and a beautiful box with a tiny bracelet in it. Such a treasure!
We enjoyed some great fried rice for lunch and a rather long, warm walk in the park. The weather has been nice every morning and warms up to around 75 degrees. We're going around in our tshirts every day and having people comment that we aren't dressed appropriately and laughing. Honestly, everyone is wearing long sleeves and jackets.
Maimie continues to be so pleasant other than some sleep/wake difficulties and a tummy ache.
Today was spent at the zoo. Much different than our zoos. There are 10 or 15 of each animal in every exhibit. You can nearly get close enough to touch many of the animals. We watched one of the animal shows that came complete with dancing bears in tutus, bicycle riding monkeys, and a tight rope walking goat.

We already knew Maimie was yours--glad the Chinese government agrees!! Love the photos--one question. Are you bringing the little fellow in the red jacket home with you too? Just kidding!! Enjoy the nice 70 degree weather--it is below zero here with 3-5" of snow from yesteday!!! Steve, you really are there!!! Maimie gets more beautiful every time you post a photo!!! We check the computer every few hours to see if there are any updates!!! Have MANY people checking the blog site now!

First of all which one is the Monkey in the picture! Monica this has been so wonderful to see what is next, we get so excited when the pictues and information comes to us. We even find ourselves in a joyful cry at the adventures that you, Steve and the kids are telling about. We are so proud of you guys and what you are doing. The joy that it brings to your mom and I is way beyond what I can say. We Love you all so much and long for you to be with us again.
