May's Days
May marked Mother's Day, Jacob's graduation, and our trip to Sanibel Island.

Mother's Day 2014 |
Jacob's graduation day was unseasonably cool. The ceremony and party went splendidly. Jacob graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned a Presidential scholarship to both Bradley and Cedarville Universities. Jacob plans to attend Cedarville in the fall.
We left on the last Friday of May for Sanibel Island. The drive was horrendous on the way down with several extra hours of traffic jams and accidents killing our time. The first night we stayed in a hotel in Atlanta and woke the next morning to find our car had been broken into, glass was everywhere inside, and thousands of dollars in property had been stolen. We spent the first half of Saturday talking to police and trying to get our window fixed. It managed to be a good day anyway as we met many new people who were very kind and some blogger friends who even offered to bring us lunch while we waited on our car to be fixed.
Sanibel Island was amazing. It was our first time visiting there, and we loved the quiet beaches. There was lots of fun shelling, some fishing, swimming, and walking along the beaches. It was a very relaxing time, and I'm very grateful for getting another vacation with all of the kiddos.
