Already August

Another summer draws to a close.  Unfortunately we didn't take a vacation this summer, but we did try to have fun close to home. Here are some photos from a trip to the Peoria Zoo:

The teens have been busy this summer.  Mikaela completed summer courses and painted.  Jacob worked at Sonic.  And Joseph took care of his garden.  

There have been family hymn sings, picnics at the park, swimming, reading, games, walks, movies, and  more this summer.

Also we decided to add a new puppy to the clan.  After some research, we found a breeder in Indiana whose dog produced a litter of the cutest little chocolate English labs at the end of June.  Hopefully she will join the family in the next few weeks.
