Thanks to the blizzard that hit the Midwest yesterday, we are on snow day number two. Things didn't get bad until about noon yesterday. Steve came home for lunch and just stayed here. All of the kids were already here and spent the afternoon watching movies, playing piano, video gaming, and playing ping-pong.
The way the wind howled last night, we thought the house might blow down. The lightning flashed, the snow came down, and the winds blew it into terrific drifts.
This morning dad sent the big kids out with shovels...

Have a feeling even a trip to Beecham's Store in town will be a big deal! We finally got our driveway plowed this afternoon! Oh, the joy of living in Illinois in the winter! Actually, it is pretty with everything all white and the sun shining! At least you didn't lose your electric power! Sure the kids enjoyed their hot cocoa!
