Chinese New Year

Gung Hay Fat Choy!
We had a nice little celebration for our Gotcha Day anniversary and Chinese New Year. Due to the wrestling schedule, we split the difference and celebrated both on Wednesday.

Chinese take-out and homemade nian gao completed the menu. The house was decorated with Chinese lanterns, a dragon, and the good luck boy and girl cutouts.

We let Maimie open a beautiful pink and white quilt we found in China last year. It is decorated with six little traditional Chinese dresses (cheongsam).

Later, we watched a slideshow on a website where I loaded our China trip photos via the television. Wow, has Maimie ever changed this past year!

Monice, Maimie is soooo cute!!!! I can't believe it's been a year. My boys both did the wrestling thing too, we finally quit after 3 years because everything was on Sundays!!! OH, BTW I tagged you, check out my blog.

What a celebration indeed!! Yes, Maimie certainly has changed over the past year! The quilt is really nice--so glad you are going to keep up the tradition of Chinese New Year for her! God bless each of you!
